Becky Merwin, REALTOR(R) with The Rauland Agency and past recipient, was pleased to nominate Patti for this deserving award.
Her nomination stated that Patti is often the first to volunteer for a cause, and even when just attending a fundraiser or activity to support, she is the first one to ask how she can be of service, from set up to take down and everything in between. One of her personal missions is helping her daughter to collect and send needed supplies to overseas U.S. soldiers. They are also involved in Pet Rescue/Adoption. Patti is a very active volunteer for the Town of Salem. For example, I know she recently helped with all aspects of the town’s annual PumpkinDaze, working tirelessly from 7 a.m. until midnight the day of the event. She is involved in many fundraisers including Y-Me Breast Cancer Awareness, Multiple Sclerosis and the Alzheimer’s Association.
Becky added, “though I am not familiar with the specific titles or roles in which Patti serves, I have noticed that she is always thought of in the highest regard as a generous and energetic REALTOR® working to enhance both her personal and professional communities. Patti is a “go-getter” – she gets things done. Patti is very involved in the Professional Standards Committees in both Illinois and Wisconsin. She attends all training available and is willing to serve in any capacity requested of her. Her involvement in Illinois and Wisconsin in several counties offers a fresh and balanced perspective. She is also very active in local government affairs, attending many public functions, annual REALTOR® & Government Day, and always representing local REALTORS® professionally. She is an RPAC contributor and involved with fundraising in both states. AE Denise Schultz has mentioned on more than one occasion that Patti always offers to help with anything she needs for LARA events and is always extremely positive and supportive to the office staff. She radiates a positive attitude toward all. Patti is one of those bright shining faces that can always be seen presenting a positive and professional image at functions from professional REALTOR® events to the many community events where she is always the first to roll up her sleeves and ask, “How can I help?” Patti is the last person to call attention to her many contributions to local causes because she is truly a servant-leader and worthy of this recognition that she would never seek. Your consideration is appreciated.”
Patti works for RE/MAX Advantage Realty based in Antioch, Illinois. Nominations for the 2014 REALTOR(R) of the Year will be accepted in October, 2014. The winner will be recognized at the December, 2014 Annual Meeting and Installation Banquet.
